Puyallup, WA (June 26, 2009) - The “lost” will be found at a church in Washington on Sunday. The theme both in the décor and the curriculum for the church makes kids feel as if they are on an uninhabited island. Massive trees cast leafy shadows over the sanctuary floor. A colorful volcano fills the wall behind the main stage.
Recently the church purchased the church just north of their existing property and converted the entire facility to suit the needs of their children’s ministry. The church had it’s grand opening on Easter this year and has seen an increase in volunteers and visitors.
Children’s Minister, Christina said, “The opening of our brand new kids facility was awesome! We celebrated 1259 kids coming to Treasure Island for the first time! JMC helped create a place for our kids to safely learn about Jesus in an environment that makes our families not want to leave!”
They wanted the church to be an exciting place where kids could identify with the message and have a place to connect with God and each other. “The jungle theme is quite popular right now. It was a fun challenge to change a very traditional church building into a tropical outdoor space, ” says Jonathan Martin, President of Jonathan Martin Creative.
For 17 years, JMC has created custom theme design for churches all over the country.
